Bukchon Traditional Village is a popular Seoul, Korea tourist attraction. It also has a central community that is largely residential. As the number of tourists grew, complaints from residents did too – about overflowing trash. Read a case study to learn how sensor-equipped trash receptacles helped clean up the community and cut trash collection costs. The sensor-equipped Clean Caps from Council Associate Partner Ecube Labs helped Seoul’s Waste & Environmental Bureau more efficiently manage trash collection schedules, reduce unnecessary collection trips, pinpoint trouble spots where receptacles filled more quickly and most importantly, helped keep the community trash-free.
