Cubic exec joins impressive line-up at SF mayors' meeting
Matt Cole, executive vice president, strategy and business development for Council Lead Partner Cubic Transportation Systems, will speak on "Technology and the Transformation of Urban Transportation" during the 83rd Annual U.S. Conference of Mayors Meeting that kicks off today in San Francisco. Cole will discuss infrastructure challenges many urban cities face today due to impacting social trends and possible solutions through Cubic’s NextCity vision. President Obama is also scheduled to address the meeting along with Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Martin O'Malley.
Schneider will supply energy systems for Israeli airport
Council Lead Partner Schneider Electric will supply high-tension electrical systems as well as the energy command and control system for Israel's second international airport. The deal is estimated in the tens of millions of shekels, according to an announcement. Timna Airport near Eilat will be Israel's second international airport when completed next year. Schneider Israel CEO Philippe Brami called the project a breakthrough in the Israeli market, due to the fact that it was Israel's first energy control management project. "Beyond the supply of the equipment, we're supplying the knowhow and the ability to control the systems, which will make the airport energy-efficient, and provide reliability and safety in the continuous supply of electricity, without malfunctions," he said.
OSIsoft wins IoT Innovations honor

SunGardPS acquires CRW, a local government solutions developer
SunGard Public Sector acquired San Diego-based CRW Systems, Inc., a leading developer of solutions that help local government agencies manage community development. All employees and management of CRW will join SunGard Public Sector’s business working from their current offices in Carlsbad, CA. "Our acquisition of CRW brings together two companies with shared values," said Mike Borman, CEO of SunGard Public Sector, a Council Associate Partner. "Like SunGard Public Sector, the CRW team has specialized solely in public sector technology solutions with a long and proven track record of innovation and success. Like CRW, our corporate culture is driven by an agile mindset, which the CRW team demonstrates on a daily basis as they serve more than 170 customers across North America." CRW’s TRAKiT software streamlines planning management, permitting and code enforcement for cities, counties and states nationwide. In other SunGard news, the company announced a strategic engagement with Detroit-based Pierce, Monroe, & Associates, which specializes in financial, management and information technology consulting. The firm will provide on-site implementation and operational support for SunGard’s expanding roster of customers within in Michigan.
