North Carolina Suburb Empowers Water Customers With Hourly Usage Updates

Citizens in Cary, North Carolina can manage their water use and identify possible problems with a wireless meter reading system that provides them with hourly water readings. The system, powered by analytics from Council Lead Partner SAS Institute, also is saving the town millions of dollars in operations and personnel costs over the life of the project. The Aquastar system remotely collects readings from water customer meters, and customers can see the results by accessing the community's web portal.
