Duquesne Light

Founded in 1912, Duquesne Light provides electric power to nearly 600,000 homes and businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania via its transmission and distribution systems. It also maintains streetlights in some areas, and provides home energy audits, homeowner warranty repair programs, and vegetation management services.

It is currently installing advanced metering infrastructure and piloting LED street lighting. Duquesne Light collaborates directly with the cities in its service territory and via organizations such as the Pittsburgh Technology Council and the Smart Cities Council.
